Overview:

Ritz Lutheran Villa is a registered not-for-profit continuing care retirement community located in the rural town of Mitchell, Ontario.  Ritz Lutheran Villa offers 85 long-term care beds, and 50 independent living accommodations in apartment (Ritz Manor) and townhouse (Thames River Place) settings.  Mitchell Nursing Home, with 50 long-term care beds, is also a community of the Ritz Lutheran Villa organization. In addition to primary health care and support services, Ritz Lutheran Villa offers other important services and programs to benefit its residents and seniors in the surrounding area. The 14 acre main campus is located in close proximity to the Mitchell Medical Centre and is supported by physicians from the Centre.

Ritz Lutheran Villa is engaged in an ongoing fundraising campaign to redevelop the central core of the main building (the “hub”) to better meet the needs of residents and members of the community at large. This redevelopment is also an essential component to support and enhance the addition of an 83 unit seniors residence to be known as Ritz Village by the Thames. This development is being undertaken to address an ongoing waiting list for accommodation with various opportunities for personal care services, and to deal with concerns regarding premature placement of some residents into long-term care.

The Missing Link Capital Fund Raising Campaign has been brought to life to cover the primary parts of the new construction and redevelopment of the "hub". It does not include the residential component, which will be self-funded.
